Art Show Paris

Art Show Paris is a major art fair organized by the Art & Design association. Since its inception, this remarkable exhibition has already seen sixteen editions and has become a key event in the French art scene. This year, the show successfully closed at the end of April 2023, at the design center of the Bastille prison in Paris, offering spectators an exceptional artistic festival.

Art Show Paris provides the perfect stage for exhibiting artists to present and share their work with the public. The exhibition brings together different art forms such as painting, sculpture, photography and installation art, showcasing a wide variety of creative styles and artistic concepts. Participating artists are rigorously selected, and their works are evaluated by renowned judges from the European art scene, such as Donald Le Heron, Frank de Block, Jacques Resch, Harry Bettancourt, and many others. The judges pay particular attention to the creativity, technique, expression and originality of the works, and award medals of excellence in recognition of the artists' talent and efforts.

Art Show Paris is much more than just an exhibition, it's an artistic feast that transcends time and space. Since its creation, the Art & Design association has been actively involved in promoting the development and dissemination of art. The exhibition is a testament to the association's years of artistic endeavour and pursuit, highlighting its mission to bring art into the lives of viewers and create a profound connection between the public and art.

Art Show Paris has become one of the most emblematic events on the Paris art scene. Every year, artists and art lovers from all over the world gather here to explore the infinite fascination of art. The successful closing of the show is an acknowledgement of the hard work of the association and all the participating artists, while testifying to the importance of art in society.

Artist Yizhu GONG won the gold prize with her work “Untitled”.

This work vividly portrays the distinctive features of independence and autonomy of contemporary women in China. The two female images presented in these works are both figurative and endowed with abstract expression. Through their faces and expressions, they convey feminine emotions both reserved and powerful.

Artist Hongran ZHANG won the silver prize with his work “Trace”.

The whole image looks abstract, but in reality it's figurative. The green, yellow and red color codes represent the health codes that every person in China had during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the three years of the pandemic, each color transition represents the experiences of elation, fright, fear and despair experienced by many people, experiences that are indescribable in words. As for the gray color code, it symbolizes mourning and the artist's respect for all those who lost their lives in the fight against the virus.
