-Presentation of the art fair-

The Salon d'Automne de Paris, founded in 1903 by great masters such as Rodin and Renoir, has become one of the world's most influential art exhibitions, having witnessed the emergence and development of numerous artistic trends. Not only is the Salon an important platform for the presentation of diverse artistic styles and innovative ideas, it has also contributed to the birth of major artistic currents, such as Fauvism in 1905 and Cubism in 1910. As a barometer of contemporary art, the Salon d'Automne de Paris perpetuates the essence of the French artistic tradition, becoming a focal point in the international art world.

The 2024 edition of the Salon d'Automne de Paris is distinguished by its rigorous selection criteria. The artists exhibited represent 54 nationalities, and among them, 24 Chinese artists have been selected, demonstrating the strength of Chinese art on the international scene. It's worth noting that ASFEA (Association sino française d'échange d'art) proposed two highly talented Chinese artists, who became one of the highlights of the show. Their works testify to the rapid expansion and originality of Chinese contemporary art, reinforcing its influence on the world stage.

Association sino française d'échange d'art has brought together 2 exceptional contemporary artists to take part in the Salon d'Automne in Paris, France.

Kacey Ko, is an acclaimed Hong Kong artist, who first gained recognition at Salon Des Beaux Arts 2022 in Paris as one of the few finalist representing China. Ko’s work is about creating a medium for introspection and to reconnect with our inner state of calmness and wholeness. Influenced by her unique experiences with Chinese philosophies of change (Yijing) and her fascination with textures and colours of

western oil paint, Ko reinterprets the conception of east-meets-west through her

practice.

Ko has exhibited in the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Rome, Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, and Palazzo Bembo in Venice as part of a parallel exhibition at the 2024 Venice Biennale, among many other institutions. Her works have been featured internationally at major art shows in Paris, New York and Miami, including Art Shopping 2023 at Carrousel du Louvre, Art Capital 2023 in Paris, Artexpo New York 2023 in Manhattan and Spectrum Miami 2023 in Florida. In recognition of Ko’s artistic achievements, she was awarded with a gold prize at Art Show Paris 2023 and silver medal by Innoart Prize. Back in Asia, Ko participated in multiple exhibitions in Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong. She held a solo exhibition at JCCAC titled Oasis in 2021, which was then featured on major media outlets in Hong Kong including Art

and Piece, HK Artion & Life Style Journal by HKEJ.

Willow Lu, graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. She is a member of the Chinese Writers' Association, a member of the China Collectors' Association, a member of the International Council for the Visual Arts (ICVA), a member of the Artistic Committee of the Académie d'Expressionnisme Française (AAE), and a member of the Association Sino-Française d'Échange d'Art (ASFEA). His painting style is unique and remarkable, with particular emphasis on the use of color. In particular, in the current context of recurrent pandemics, intertwined cold and hot wars, followed by nuclear threats from many countries, she uses her works to address the concept of the “end of the world” in the face of the intense psychological pressure and extreme anxiety felt by people in both hemispheres. Her works have clear post-apocalyptic aesthetic features.
